Today No Drive: Traffic Restrictions in CDMX

This Wednesday, if your vehicle has a red sticker and the last digit of the plate is 3 or 4, you cannot circulate through any of the 16 boroughs of Mexico City or some municipalities in the State of Mexico that are part of the metropolitan area. Furthermore, if you have sticker 1, you also cannot circulate on the first and third Saturday of the month if the last digit of your plate is odd (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9), between 05:00 and 22:00 hours. If you have sticker 2, the restriction extends to all Saturdays of the month during the same hours.

"Vehicles with sticker 0 and 00 are exempt from these restrictive measures," stated the regulatory authority. However, for foreign vehicles with foreign plates, similar rules apply based on the plate's ending. These must refrain from circulating Monday to Friday from 5:00 to 11:00 hours and cannot do so on any Saturday from 05:00 to 22:00 hours.
